The Belle Haven Middle School students engaged in the concept of Level III Social Awareness and Responsibility. Students attended the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service at James Flood School. They helped to clean out storage bins at the school and sorted through books. In addition to this, students attended a workshop on the legacy of MLK and his spirit of self-development and service. This event was an all day event.

To the right you'll find the video made for the 180 parent/student graduation.

Students also participated in an art session. During our earlier lessons on reflection we identified art as a form of reflecting. The session was an experiment. I didn't know if students were going to like painting while focusing on 180 themes. Students did an amazing job of being guided through an art reflection session while thinking about their values, behaviors, attitudes, and goals. Students presented their art pieces and were able to give each other feedback. Students described their experience with painting and all described it as a new experience that was enjoyable.
